Rajinikanth raps Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for skipping Karunanidhi’s funeral

Chennai, Aug 14: Expressing displeasure over the absence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami during the burial of former Chief Minister Late D M Karunanidhi at the Marina beach, Superstar Rajinikanth slammed Palaniswami for skipping crucial occasion.

Addressing the meeting organized by the South Indian Artistes Association in order to pay tribute to late Karunanidhi, Rajani maintained that the entire cabinet should have attended the same. The actor turned politician lambasted at AIADMK government for not allowing the burial of Karunanidhi at the Marina beach.

“when Chief Ministers and senior Politicians from other states flew down to Chennai only for Karunanidhi, how could Chief Minister of our own state gave a miss” The Superstar questioned. He took a jibe at Palaniswami and said, “Are you MGR or Jayalalithaa”.

Responding to Rajinikanth's criticism, senior AIADMK leader and Minister D Jayakumar said that the film star is politically immature. He went on saying that Rajini should first get some information about the history of TN politics.
