Media reports on auto-driver controversy are misleading: Tamil Nadu BJP Chief T Soundararajan

Chennai, Sept 18: Days after the controversy of auto-driver, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief T Soundararajan blasted at media for blowing the issue out of proportion. Speaking to the media persons, Soundararajan clarified that she had no role in alleged manhandling of auto-driver.

Responding to the charges of misbehaviors with auto-driver who protested against the fuel price hike, the Tamil Nadu BJP Chief maintained only because of security concern, BJP leader V Kalidass pushed the auto driver aside as drive was under influence of alcohol. The BJP Chief also condemned the beating of auto-driver.

Commenting on the smiling video that became viral on various social media platforms, Soundararajan said, “Media is projecting as if I was smiling when he was beaten up. I had heard his question, coincidently media's question was the same, so I was answering. I didn't notice what happened behind me.”

TN BJP Chief T Soundararajan came under fire for ignoring the question raised by the auto-driver on recent tariffs of fuel. According to media reports, he was trashed by as he was reportedly drunk. Earlier, T Soundararajan confronted with a co-passenger over the criticism of BJP government.
