Marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, PM Modi and Amit shah address mega rally boosting the Karyakartas of BJP

Bhopal, September 25: Today in Bhopal, PM Narendra Modi, and BJP President Amit Shah addressed the mega rally of BJP workers which proved to be a platform to mark the birth anniversary of party ideologue and co-founder of Janasangh, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Along with this, State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present on the occasion.


 

An estimated 10 lakh BJP workers from 65,000 polling booths spread across 230 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh took part in the programme.

In his welcome address, State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said party felts proud when Prime Minister inaugurated Jan Arogya Yojna for healthy India. He said Prime Minister is working on making India prosperous.

While addressing the event, PM Modi said, “Vote bank politics has devastated our country like termites, in 70 years of independence the country, BJP has a special responsibility to protect the from these termites.”

"We are proud of the fact that BJP has a government in 19 states of the country. UPA government never allowed a BJP-led state to function. Congress has only divided the nation. We have to eliminate the politics of vote bank," PM Modi said.

In an apparent reference to Congress's allegations on Rafale deal, the prime minister further said, "Opposition indulges in mud-slinging because it finds it easier than debating on issues like development."

 

He further said that I can never forget Mahatma Gandhi, Ram Manohar Lohia Ji and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ji, we are the people who have also accepted Deendayal, Lohia Ji is also accepted and Mahatma Gandhi is also accepted.

BJP chief Amit Shah also launched a blistering attack on Congress at the party's massive show of strength. Terming Manmohan Singh-led UPA government a 'failure', the Bharatiya Janata Party national president said that Rahul Gandhi is just 'daydreaming' of winning polls.

 

Shah also said, “The party, once launched by 10 members, is the world's largest political organization with over 11 crore members today.”
