Mumbai, August 18: Addressing a huge gathering on the occasion of golden jubilee celebration of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, RSS SarSanghachalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said, "Hindustan is a Hindu nation...Hindutva is the identity of our nation and it (Hinduism) can incorporate others (religions) in itself."

“In coming 5 years, places of drinking water, worship and cremation should be ’equal and open’ for all Hindus" said the RSS Chief. He added that social equality, cultural invasion, strengthening social projects and active work for deprived in society should become a family goal of each Hindu family.

Starting his speech stating that “Hindusthan is a Hindu Nation and Hidutva is nation's identity”, Bhagwat suggested that the implementation the real meaning of Hindu philosophy that is “Hindave Sahodara Sarve” (All Hindus are brethrens) should start from our homes. It should become family system.


Hailing VHP’s work in national life Bhagwat stated that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is an organization not because it is working for Hindus, but the whole world will get directions from the mission of this organization in coming days that’s why it is a Vishwa (universal) Hindu Parishad. The VHP is definitely an organization of Hindus but, it will play as a Saviour for whole world. It will organize and guide global Hindu community and make it prosperous, powerful, inclusive and fearless.
 

The inaugural ceremony of the golden year celebrations of the VHP was held at Mumbai. RSS Sarasanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat, VHP Chief Dr Pravin Togadia, Pejwar Seer Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji, Dr Veerendra Hegade of Dharmasthala, Former ISRO Chief G. Madhavan Nair and seers representing Jain, Buddhists, Shikh attended the meet.

The VHP Golden Jubilee celebrations are a new start of VHP’s mission, like it was 50 years back. Completing the ongoing tasks and setting new goals as per current scenario should be the agenda for the VHP in celebrating 50 glorious years of its work.

RSS Chief hailed the 50th year will truly be a Golden year of the VHP. Bhagwat mentioned Pejawar Swamy who said that the VHP is modern age Shree Krishna and explained that it was Arjun who was ready to fight the evil forces that’s why Krishna backed him. That’s why, if we want to eradicate social evils in Hindu society and anti national evils, we need to start efforts on personal level and from our homes.


Speaking on the occasion VHP leader Dr. Pravin Togadia proposed that the VHP will establish its branches in each village in coming period. He said that more than 5000 students’ hostels will be built. With the help of doctors across the nation, the VHP is planning to start a drive of medical check-up for at least 1 crore needy people in a year. The VHP will set up Self Help groups for women empowerment and will establish one lakh Ekal schools for tribal and deprived section of the society. Togadia said that the VHP will set up mechanism to save cows from being slaughter and Cow Based agriculture will be initiated in the country. He pledged to make India, a nation free from forced conversions and said that the VHP will fight for constitutional provisions against “Cow Slaughter” and “Forceful conversions”.

Expressing a strong resolve for a huge Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Togadia stated that it is a prime goal of the VHP which will be brought to reality very shortly.

Togadia said that the VHP rescues over one lakh cows from going to butcher. The VHP has helped over seven lakh converted Hindus to reenter and over 50 lakh hindus are saved from being victims of forceful conversions by Islamic or Christian propagators.

Togadia remembered contributions of Second RSS Sarsanghachalak M S Golwalkar, Swami Chinmayanand, Tukadoji Maharaj Gujarat Master Tarasingh and all those who relentlessly worked for the upliftment of Hindus in last 50 years of VHP journey.

Speaking on the occasion, Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala Virendra Hegde, who is selected as the president of the core committee for the VHP golden jubilee year, said that the VHP is transforming the society via its various social projects. He said that it is only the VHP which was able to bring all the Hindu religious leaders on one platform. Interesting things is Hegde is from Jain tradition, he is the Dharmadhikari of Manjunatha Devasthan, which is Shiva deity and main worshippers are the descendents of the tradition of Jagadguru Madhvacharya.

International president of the VHP, Raghav Reddy counted achievements of the 5o years of the VHP. Reddy slammed Christian conversions which are being carried on silently. He questioned about the 40000 crores rupees pumped each year in India from abroad, which is used for the religious conversions. He appealed Hindus to contribute extensively for the Hindu community.

Presence of noted space scientist and former chairman of ISRO, Dr. G Madhavan Nair was a seen as a distinct appearance as all others on the dais were seers from various religious faiths. Notably Dr. Nair is a Vice President of the Golden Jubilee year’s committee of the VHP. Dr. Nair said, “All fifty year he was busy in sending satellites and rockets, he was not able to pay attention at spirituality. He said that there is no change in science and spirituality.”

He said that science searches for real truth in nature and spirituality searches for inner truth. We were masters in spirituality in Vedic period. He acclaimed “Rishi parampara” for making India and Hindu culture broad minded and capable of accepting anything and everything. He said, “Educating people, providing proper healthcare, opportunity for proper income and enabling the youth to perform and enhance their qualities of life is the only way to solve the problems of the deprived people of the nation.” Using the technology for basic issues like healthcare, education and clean water is necessary and we should use satellite for betterment of ‘have-nots’ of the nation, said the former chief of ISRO.

Pejawar Swami Vishwesh Teerth ji Maharaj who is from Jagadguru Madhvacharya peetha, in 1966 has proclaimed that “Na Hindu Patito Bhavet” (No Hindu is degenerated) and “Hindave Sahodara Sarve” (All Hindus are brethrens), was present on the dais. He said that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad is the modern form of Lord Shree Krishna. He said that the message of Krishna is of Service to the society and the VHP is following his message in last 50 years. He gave his blessings to the work of VHP.

Spiritual leaders like Jain guru Nayapadmasagar, Sikh guru Shree Gurucharan Singh Gil, Buddhist leader Bhadant Rahul Bodhi, Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Vishveshwara Teerth Maharaj, Vidyabhaskar Maharaj shared their thoughts on the occasion explaining the need for Hindu society to be united shedding all kind of evils destabilizing the Hindu society.

The Hindu leaders representing various faiths and sects in Hindu-ness, unanimously talked to eradicate the ailments of the Hindu society. All the seers denounced the untouchability and casteism as not a part of Hindu spiritual and cultural practices. The consentient voice of making a grand, strong and prosperous Hindu society rose from the dais which was overwhelmingly consented by the rejoiced crowd.
