Jaipur, December 13: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje who is facing the heat from film fraternity for keeping mum on the alleged hate campaign against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic drama Padmavati has once again mentioned that people of Rajasthan won’t tolerate the erroneous depiction of Padmavati.

As quoted by Times of India, Raje opined that makers should think twice before taking any step which might disturb the law and order situation in the state. “Why insist on a film if it is hurting the sentiments of a particular caste? Is it worth the trouble?” Raje said.

The Chief Minister also confessed that she had asked I& B Minister Smriti Irani to safeguard the sentiments of a larger section of the society who are emotionally attached with Rani Padmini. When quizzed about the personal attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali where some fringe elements vandalized the sets of Padmavati, the Rajasthan Chief Minister condemned the cowardly attack on the legendary director.
