Kolkata Police’s cyber cell receives prestigious NASSCOM-DSCI Excellence Award

Gurgaon, December 22: Kolkata Police’s cyber cell has been acclaimed as one of the best of its kind in South Asia for a long time. Adding one more feather to its success, NASSCOM’s Data Security Council of India recognized the hard work of the Kolkata Police cyber cell with Excellence Award of this year for 'Capacity Building of Law Enforcement'.

An All India Security Seminar was recently held in Gurgaon where Cyber units from different state police forces all across the country had participated. “This national recognition motivates us to work even harder. We are sure that your good wishes and support are always with us,” Kolkata Police said in a statement.

A team of four senior police officers headed by Additional Commissioner of Police (IV) Hari Kishore Kusumakar went to Gurgaon to receive the prestigious award. DC DD (Special) BV Chandra Sekhar and Officer-in-charge of Cyber police station Shantanu Chatterjee also attended the seminar.

DSCI excellency award rewards organizations and individuals who have taken strategic, proactive and innovative security and privacy efforts to help the organization address real risks, build resilience, increase trustworthiness and create a conducive environment for doing business and thus enable the organization to harness data protection as a lever for business growth.
