President Ram Nath Kovind to visit orange city on September 22

Nagpur, Sept 11: President Ram Nath Kovind is all set for his maiden visit to the orange city after assuming the office of President of India. According to media reports President Kovind will arrive on September 22 to Inaugurate the newly constructed Suresh Bhat Auditorium near Reshimbag ground of south Nagpur. Along with this, the President will also inaugurate the meditation center at Dragon Palace, Kamptee.

As reported by The Hintvada, Kovind is also scheduled to visit the historic Deekshabhoomi. Constructed with the whopping budget of Rs 77 crore, a joint venture of Maharashtra State government and BJP ruled Nagpur Municipal Corporation the auditorium will redefine the cultural heritage of the city. Built on 14,842.43 sq mts land situated at Reshimbag area the Suresh Bhat Memorial Auditorium will be the first theatre with the ample use of solar power. The Project was started in 2010 with the budget of Rs 33.60 crore.

Earlier Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari who represents Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency had officially requested President Kovind for the same. According to NMC officials, On this occasion Governor of Maharashtra C Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Standing Committee Chief Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party leader Sandip Joshi will be present along with other officials.
