Hyderabad, Sept 13: Actor Rana Daggubati who is known for his keen interest in various sporting activities has now joined hands with Premier Futsal, a shorter version of football. The sports enthusiast Rana will be the brand ambassador for newly launched team Telugu Tigers. After his successful association with Telugu Titans in Pro-Kabaddi and Baahubali Boxers, Rana will be seen in the role of the co-owner along with Esa Mohammed, the other owner of Premier Futsal team.



Speaking to the media the Baahubali actor mentioned that after kabaddi youth are taking a genuine interest in concepts like futsal. On this occasion, the actor also unveiled the flag and jersey for the team. As reported by The Hindu Businessline extending best wishes to Telugu Tigers the handsome hunk said that he is confident about the performance of the team. “Under the leadership of Deco, Telugu Tigers will rock the series” he added. He also urged his fans to support his new venture.


Sharing the past experience about Premier Futsal Esa Mohammed, the second partner of Rana underlined that the all franchise members are really excited to witness the fascinating matches of Premier Futsal. The sport is getting wide acceptance across the country, he mentioned.


Dinesh Raj, the co-founder of Premier Futsal said, “With a mission to spread the sport in country, Premier Futsal is dedicated to engage with the youth by encouraging their participation in sport,”

According to schedule, Mumbai will host the first leg of matches till September 17. The next round of matches will take place at Bengaluru from September 19. The semi-finals and final will be held from September 26 to October 1 in Dubai.

The second edition of mega Premiere Futsal will begin from September 15. Last year the Mumbai 5s had won the championship. The maiden season of Premier Futsal was broadcast in the UK, West Asia, Europe, South America and South-East Asia, apart from India.
