Seoul, September 27: Maharashtra and South Korea came together to increase cooperation in infrastructure projects and transport. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in on his three-day visit to South Korea and Singapore, looking forward to collaborating in the fields of infrastructure and transport.

Today on his second day of his visit, CM Fadnavis was busy in his meetings which discussed affordable housing especially for low income groups, with Hyosung Corporation. Hyosung is leading chemical and technical textile company; showed interest to invest in spandex manufacturing in Maharashtra, for textile sector.
Meeting Prime Minister of Strategy and Finance Kim Dong-yeon, CM Fadnavis said that the discussion on Maharashtra’s ‘Samruddhi’s’ corridor was fruitful and Kim Dong-yeon showed interest to invest and help to develop infrastructural projects in Maharashtra. CM Fadnavis urged Daewoo Engg & Construction Company to invest in Maharashtra looking huge opportunities & advantages in the era of speedy development.
"Had a very good meeting with Kim Hyunmee, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) in Seoul. Informed Minister Hyunmee about Maharashtra's growth story, especially how it got 50 per cent of the total FDI in India and how we lead in infrastructure projects," the release quoted Fadnavis as saying.
On the first day of his visit, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted saying that MoU was signed for boosting cooperation in infrastructural projects for development of Smart cities, roads, airports, metro etc. CM Fadnavis informed further saying that this MoU will help with implementation strategy, legal systems, policies, technologies and information in infrastructure development.
