Foundation Day of UP unfurls various projects and schemes along with launching the ‘Lucknow Mahotsav’

Lucknow, January 24: Celebrating its 68th foundation Day on a large scale, Uttar Pradesh unfurled its day with several functions displaying its traditions and customs in their cultural programs. The function was inaugurated by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at Awadh Shilp Mela ground in Lucknow.


 
 
Having a flashback of the state, Uttar Pradesh was previously known as United Province during the British Rule which was renamed as Uttar Pradesh on January 24, 1950. With the idea of celebrating this day on a grand level the Governor Ram Naik also announced the launch of various projects and schemes amounting around 25 thousand crore. The famed Lucknow Mahotsav was also launched today. It comprises 200 commercial stalls, 33 pavilion, 55 food stalls, 40 quask for ice creams and beverage stalls. In the commercial stalls, major commercials organizations would display their products for exhibitions and sale. Pavilion would have participation from tourism, forest, water and income tax department.

In addition to this, Election Commission of India is also participating to these silver jubilee celebrations. For the entertainment purpose of children, swings and fountains have been placed. . Apart from this different stalls have been set up for different products including handicrafts and weaving of different districts.

The UP Government has declared policy of one district one product to promote minimum one product from each and every district. Several programs and cultural events are also being organised in all 75 districts of the State and State Government Ministers have graced the functions.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also tweeted the inauguration ceremony of the State by the VP Naidu and the ongoing activities and functions during the celebration.

 
 

In addition to this, Amit Shah took to twitter and congratulated the State on its Statehood Day. He wished the people of Uttar Pradesh for its glorious history and tradition.
