Chennai, November 12: Donning the Man of the Match title, Shikhar Dhawan contributed immensely for India in winning the match. Along with him, Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged Man of the Series as India won the third and final T20 international against West Indies by 6 wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai as Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant's bravado spoiled the day for the visitors.

With this victory, India also clean-swept the T20 series against West Indies 3-0. Shikhar Dhawan saved the day for India and Rishabh Pant accompanied him till the team was on the cusp of winning the match.

Dhawan contributed 92 runs, a much needed knock after India skipper Rohit Sharma departed early and then Lokesh Rahul too went back to the pavilion. Rishabh Pant made his maiden T20 International fifty before losing his wicket on the score of 58.

Earlier, West Indies made 181 runs in their 20 overs after Carlos Brathwaite won the toss and decided to bat first. West Indies openers Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope got them to a brisk start. For West Indies, left-handed batsman NIcholas Pooran and Darren Bravo stitched a 87-run partnership that led West Indies to 181/3 in their 20 overs.

Bravo offered a great support to Pooran and hit a couple of big sixes. West Indies showed some fight as they smashed India bowlers without falling under pressure and committing any blunder.

Chahal was the most successful Indian bowler with 2 for 28 from his four overs, but faced the heat towards the end when Pooran and Bravo went on the attack.

Washington Sundar, who took the wicket of Denesh Ramdin (15), was the other wicket-taker. Young pacer Khaleel Ahmed had a good start to his spell but he couldn't make much of an impression. Experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar too remained without wickets.
