Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat: PM Narendra Modi attends annual conference of DGPs and IGPs in Gujrat

Kevadia, Dec 21: Prime minister Narendra Modi is on two-day visit of Gujrat, attended and chaired the Annual Conference of State Director General of Police (DGPs) and IGPs.
 
 
The venue of conference is in tent city near Statue of Unity, Kevadia.
 
 
The DGPs conference is annual event in which all top police officers from country share and discuss the security-related issues.
 
 
During this event, Prime Minister Modi also inspected the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” parade at statue of liberty. This parade is performed by police officers of various states.
 
  
Home Minister Rajnath Singh and MoS home Hansraj Ahir are also presented at this event.
 
 
In this conference, militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, Cross-Border terrorism and attempt to radicalization of youth are the top priority agenda to discussions.
 
 
Addressing the inaugural session of the conference on Thursday, Rajnath Singh stated that, the internal security situation in the country has vastly improved, specially in North-East and other left-wing extremism effected states of India.
 
 
For best district performance award, kalu in Rajasthan, Campbell Bay in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Farakka in West Bengal, these police states awarded by Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
 
 
The top 10 police stations of 2018 are Kalu (Rajasthan), Campbell Bay (Andaman and Nicobar Islands), Farakka (West Bengal), Nettapakkam (Puducherry), Guderi (Karnataka), Chopal (Himachal Pradesh), Lakheri(Rajasthan), Periyakulam (Tamil Nadu), Munsyari (Uttarakhand), Churchorem (Goa).  
 
 
Earlier, PM Modi was given a guard of honor at the Statue of Unity, in Kevadia.
