Gandhinagar, March 27: Days have come to take out cotton light colored clothes, sunscreens etc as the heat has increased beyond the bearing limits. The mercury is nowadays showing 40-45 degrees temperature. India meteorological department has issued a warning about the heat wave across the states including Gujarat.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) department has also issued a warning for a heat wave that is expected to hit Gujarat over the next 48 hours. Several regions will be affected by the loo. According to the Met department, temperatures in coastal Gujarat are likely to soar.
On Monday, Porbandar was the hottest area with a temperature of 43° Celsius, followed by Surat with a temperature of 41° Celsius.
According to IMD, States of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir too may face heat wave which are considered usually as cool states.
According to the statement of IMD, Heatwave conditions very likely over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, southwest Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, some pockets over Gujarat region.
Keeping this mind people are advised not to get out in sun more and also to drink more and more water and fluids to avoid dehydration. And also people are advised to wear full sleeved clothes to avoid skin to come in direct contact with Sun.
