Imphal, May 1: Covering every house in the village and subsidizing them with the essential requirements, BJP-led coalition government’s ambitious new mission “Go to Village” has been launched in Manipur’s Thoubal district. Waving a supporting hand to the new mission, Chief Minister Nongthomban Biren launched the mission in the 60 Assembly Constituencies throughout the state.

The main objective of the new mission is to provide free gas services to the masses through the Ujwala Yojana. This comprises of 46,000 beneficiaries in which the MLAs will be constructing every 20 houses each in their respective constituency.
To accomplish this mission, Thoubal district deputy commissioner H Rosita Devi has instructed the teams for the mission to prepare the hoardings, pamphlets etc highlighting the schemes in local dialects for display at the venues.
The mission aims at reaching the people at the grassroot level and also helps to reach out to the people facing any grievances. Biren government team has made things quite clear about the need to reach the people by enabling them with their basic needs required in the household.
Under this mission, camps would be organized at different villages to ensure enrolment of all the deserved villagers for government’s social security schemes and also to find out the area-specific needs of different villages.
