New Delhi, May 3: At last, the Defence Ministry has woke up! It is now on a hunt-op to find out the moles of Maoists and break-India forces hiding in its departments who very swiftly drive the Maoists’ agendas by inviting the pro-Naxal propagandists like the editor of The Wire Siddharth Varadarajan at Army Commander's Conference to deliver a speech. Notably, this special invitee Varadarajan is famous for running fake stories of Human Rights violations by Indian Army, paramilitary forces and police in Kashmir, North East India and Maoist insurgency-affected area.

The Defence Ministry in UPA era was kind enough for many like Varadarajan who propagate Maoists propaganda, who take Pro Pakistan stances, who attack Indian heritage and culture and who support all the anti-India elements. But the non-compromising defence ministry in PM Modi rule has shown rapidity to respond to the complaint by the Legal Rights Observatory, a strategic watchdog, who most recently made the govt aware that Varadarajan, the US citizen and Maoist propellor was amongst the regular dignitaries to make speeches at Army Commander's Conference and also the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, IAS training institute.
Defense Ministry has ordered probe after LRO complaint against inviting Siddharth Varadarajan at Army Commander's Conference to deliver a speech.
The complaint says that Siddharth Varadarajan is US citizen and The Wire; website run by him is notorious for furthering Pro-Naxal propaganda and running fake stories of HR violations by the army, paramilitary forces and police in Kashmir, North East India and Maoist insurgency-affected area.
Moreover, his wife Nandini Sundar is murder accused in Shyamnath Baghel murder case, who was anti- Naxal activist and dynamic leader from Bastar. She is named in FIR in this murder case but the court has issued a restraining order against her arrest.
LRO had also shot a letter to MHA and Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration(LBSNAA)- Mussoorie, Uttarakhand for inviting Siddharth Varadarajan as a speaker to train fresh IAS officers. MHA yet to answer to LRO letter.
Here is an original complaint
To,
Defense Minister,
Govt Of India,
Last year Army had invited Indian-American journalist Siddharth Varadarajan to address annual Army Commanders Conference. The said person and his wife have a criminal and dubious record. With this complaint, I wanted to drag attention of Defense Ministry officials to the real face of Siddharth Varadarajan and request Defense Ministry and Army Headquarters not to invite this person and anyone of this sort to address Army Commanders to give them legitimacy and honour. As these type of people are indulged in defaming Indian Army on the basis of false human rights issues and other concocted allegations against Armed Forces.
Here are details of the criminal record of Siddharth Varadarajan and his wife, which will convince Defense Ministry and Army Headquarters about the notorious record of Varadarajan. Please go through it and issue a notification to all those responsible for inviting him in official Army functions.
1) Mr Siddharth Varadarajan is the husband of Delhi University professor Nandini Sundar who is main accused and conspirator in Shamnath Baghel murder case of Bastar in Chhattisgarh State. At present, her arrest is pending due to interim order by Hon Supreme Court of India. The deceased Shamnath Baghel was social worker from Maoists- Naxal infested region of Chhattisgarh and he was peacefully and democratically opposing violent Communist Maoists insurgents unleashing terror in the region. As per FIR registered against Siddharth Varadarajan-s wife Nandini Sundar (Case Number:- IA 14-2016 filed Nov 10th 2016 in WP Civil 250-2007), Nandini hatched a conspiracy to kill Mr Shamnath Baghel.
After registering FIR, Nandini approached Hon Supreme Court to quash said FIR, but Court refused to do so citing evidence produced before the court,
2) Surrendered Naxal-Maoists commander Podium Panda confessed in a press meet in Raipur and then before High Court that he had accompanied Nandini Sundar many times to meet top Maoist commanders in deep jungles of Bastar,
3) The Wire, Website run by Siddharth Varadarajan always publishes malicious news reports levelling baseless allegations of rapes, molestation, staged encounters against security forces engaged in anti-Naxal Ops. That proves he is not a journalist but an active Maoist cadre and inviting him in public program is a brazen act of promoting violent Maoist terrorist ideology,
4) Siddharth Varadarajan-s website The Wire and Nandini Sundar both published mischievous allegations of rape on the minor girl against CRPF commando in anti-Naxal operation, but the medical test proved allegations wrong and the said victim girl too clarified that no one raped her. Nandini Sundar deleted the controversial tweet but The Wire still has the same report on its website.
