Ranchi, June 27: Jharkhand lost its seven policemen when the Naxals triggered landmine blasts near Budha Pahar under Bhandaria police station in Garhwa district. Along with this, three were injured.
According to available reports, the Naxals succeeded in traping the policemen through deceitful activities and then triggering landmine blasts. Arms of dead and injured policemen are reportedly looted by the Naxals.
DIG Palamu Range Vipul Shukla confirmed the report and said, "Six Jharkhand Jaguar personnel killed, four injured in a landmine blast triggered by Naxal in Jharkhand's Garwa district."
The injured are being airlifted for better treatment. This is a serious attack on the police force in Jharkhand after a long gap.
On this incident, CM Raghubar Das also wrote via Twitter which said that In Latehar's Budha Pahar, Naxals attacked our Jawans. The mind is infuriated at the martyrdom of our 6 excellent Jawans. We will get rid of Naxalism from Jharkhand and this will be a true homage to our martyrs. My condolences towards the families of the martyred Jawans.
