Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao calls on PM Modi; seeks support for key projects

New Delhi, June 28: Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed Modi about the ongoing development projects in the state. The Young TRS leader took to Twitter and shared the information about the same.

During this meeting, Rao presented a detailed report on the proposed Hyderabad ITIR (Information technology investment region) and sought center’s help in setting up an integrated steel plant at Bayyaram in Khammam district as per the provisions of the AP Reorganization Act 2014.

Expressing confidence over the feasibility of the mega steel plant, the Young TRS leader urged Prime Minister Modi to direct Steel Authority of India to initiate the process of the Bayyaram steel plant. He assured that state government would provide all support in establishing the Bayyaram steel plant in order to boost the employment opportunities for local citizens. The IT Minister also pitched for the fast clearance of Information technology investment region in Hyderabad.

On June 15, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of NITI aayog’s meeting. The Chief Minister urged Modi to clear the long pending Kaleshwaram irrigation project, transfer of defense land, crucial railway projects. Rao also sought financial aid for the proposed Information Technology and Investment Region.
