Maghar, June 28: Quoting couplets of 15th-century poet Sant Kabir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his pleasure on sighting the city of Maghar, which is now working to develop as the main center of Harmony in the International map. Paying rich tributes to the great saint, PM Modi highlighted Sant Kabir Das’ efforts to eliminate discrimination and further social harmony and peace in the society.

Addressing the public rally in Maghar, Prime Minister Modi expressed being fortunate and fulfilling his desire on paying tribute to the great Sant Kabir’s tomb and visiting the cave where the saint performed his spiritual practice. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Sant Kabir Academy which will inhibit the rich culture and wise ideologies of the saint. The academy will bring harmony among the people which will inherit Kabir singing training building, Kabir dance training building, Research Centre, library, Auditorium, hostel, Art Gallery.
Scattering the deeds and ideas of the great saint, PM Modi explained how his spiritual calmness led the way to eliminate discrimination and bring peace and harmony to the people. Breaking the distinction of caste row, he brought everyone together.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi offered 'chadar' at the 'Mazar' of Sant Kabir Das and laid the foundation stone of a research institute named after the 15th-century mystic poet. He also visited the Sant Kabir cave and unveiled a plaque to mark the laying of the foundation stone of the Kabir Academy, which will highlight the saint's teachings and philosophy.
Taking a jibe on the opposition PM Narendra Modi said, "People who claim to follow Kabir are more worried about big bungalows,” attacking former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the recent bungalow row. He further said that some political parties want to create disorder by creating doubts in people's minds for political gains. However, they are "cut off from the ground reality". Further slamming the joint opposition, the PM said that those who imposed Emergency and those who were against it, are now trying to forge alliances.
