Rajnath Singh shares PM’s vision of New North-East

Shillong, July 11: Sharing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the New North East, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Prime Minister believed that his vision of New India would be incomplete without better connectivity for New North East.

Singh said that PM Modi has envisioned the dream of New India by 2022. This dream of New India would be discerned without the perspective of New North East. The Union Home Minister was addressing the 67th plenary session of the North Eastern Council in Shillong on Tuesday.

The Home Minister tweeted that the dream of ‘New India’ will be realized with the vision of “New North East”. The road will go through a development and peaceful ‘New North East.’

He further wrote on the micro-blogging site that the North East needs better road connectivity and it has recently made some progress in this area.

The Union Home Minister also emphasized on gaining momentum for the growth of agriculture sector and suggested the revival of the North Eastern Regional Agriculture Marketing Corporation Limited for marketing of agriculture produce.
