Presenting the best with the best, President Ram Nath Kovind felicitated Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and Gold Medalist in Commonwealth Games Saikhom Mirabai Chanu with Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

Presenting the National Sports and Adventure Awards at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Ram Nath Kovind appreciated the efforts taken by the young athletes taking India on top at the international podium. India has performed exceptionally well with clinching ample of awards making the country proud.

Indian Captain Virat Kohli

Indian Captain Virat Kohli, one of the most outstanding cricketers of the country has been conferred this award for his excellent performance in ICC World T-20, 2016. He is the fastest cricketer to reach 25 centuries in ODI and fastest to reach 1000 runs in T-20 internationals.

Virat Kohli is the man of the series in India tour of Australia 2015.

23 centuries and 19 half centuries in Test Cricket.

35 centuries and 48 half centuries in ODIs.

The skipper has been awarded the Arjuna Award in the year 2013.

World Weightlifter Champion Mirabai Chanu

Drumrolls for the one who made India proud at the Commonwealth games 2018, gifting India with its first gold in weightlifting Saikhom Mirabai Chanu! The outstanding performance lauded on the world weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has won Gold Medal in weightlifting in Commonwealth Games 2018.

Gold Medal in IWF Sr. World Championship in 2016.

Silver Medal in Commonwealth Games 2014.
