Won the battle but with a lesson learnt; Second consecutive term, Devendra Fadnavis and Manohar Khattar to reign throne

Mumbai, October 24: Although having the administrative rope in the hands of the NDA wing, people have taught the parties a lesson to not take them for granted. With the results declared for most of the constituencies in Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will soon form the government for the second consecutive term. While the scenario in Haryana saw a neck to neck fight between BJP and Congress. BJP has unfurled flag of victory with 33 seats as of now whereas the latter has won 29 seats giving a tough competition.

 

Thanking the people for supporting BJP in Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi tweeted saying, “People of Maharashtra have blessed the NDA with immense affection. We are humbled to have got the people’s support yet again. Our work towards Maharashtra’s progress continues! I salute each and every Karyakarta of the BJP, Shiv Sena and our entire NDA family for their hardwork.”

Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackrey while addressing the press conference conducted have thanked the voters for trusting them and bringing them into power for the next term. Devendra Fadnavis while addressing the media from the BJP headquarters thanked the voters for trusting them. On the other hand, while addressing the media Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackrey said that the formula to be used for the governance of the state will be discussed between both the parties.

Devendra Fadnavis also gave an indication to 15 independent MLAs to join BJP which would give more strength to the NDA wing. Shiv Sena party chief Uddhav Thackrey thanked people for believing in the BJP-Sena alliance. Aditya Thackeray has become the first member of the family to enter the Maharashtra Legislature.

In Haryana, as per Election Commission trends, BJP emerged as the largest party in Haryana with 40 seats. Congress trailed on second position with 30 seats while among regional players JJP emerged strong with 10 seats, thus, becoming the key in government formation.
