Naidu while in on a three day visit to Baku said that India and Azarbaijan have deepened their economic ties recently. But the level of engagement is not enough. There is much more scope of deepening bilateral relations.

Referring to the transformative changes, that are taking place in India as a result of concerted efforts by the government and the strong will of the people of India, the Vice President affirmed that Indian 'Diaspora' formed the 4th 'D' in the quartet of 'D's that was propelling India forward, the first three being Democracy, Demand and Demographic Dividend.
"On the part of the government,we have made it our priority to better connect & reach out to our diaspora. There is also a conscious effort to engage actively with our community around the world through digital platforms and socialmedia and these initiatives have borne fruits Baku", he added.
Present level of economic engagement between the two countries is much below the potential. As Azerbaijan’s economy diversifies, India sees many opportunities for companies to engage with their counterparts in field such as ICT, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, Agriculture and more.

In recent times, the dual engagements with Azerbaijan has deepened and diversified. The volume of our trade has multiplied manifold and Indian companies have carved a niche for themselves in the oil and gas sector of the economy.
