Calling on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the European Unions have attached their deep interest with visiting India and strengthening the diplomatic ties. The European Union envoys are scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir on October 29. Ahead of their visit, the delegation met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NSA Ajit Doval and discussed the situation prevailing in Kashmir post abrogation of Article 370.

The visit comes after the Kashmir issue attracted attention worldwide following the centre’s decision to abrogate J&K's special status. Welcoming the delegates to India, PM Modi expressed the hope that the envoys have a fruitful visit to various places in India including Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from providing a clear view of development and governance, PM Modi asserts that the visit gives the delegates a better understanding of the cultural and religious diversity in the state.
