United voice can strengthen the country: In #MannKiBaat, PM Modi thanks people for observance of calm during Ayodhya case

New Delhi, October 28: “In the atmosphere of tensions, the Allahabad High Court’s decision in September 2010 on Ram Janmabhoomi generated a pleasant and surprising change of mood in the country. The government, political parties, social organizations, civil society, representatives of all sects and saints on the other issued balanced statements. The dignity of the judiciary was honoured and no allowance for any heated discourse or tension was made anywhere. Such united voice can strengthen the country,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in Mann Ki Baat yesterday. 

 
The Prime Minister asked people to jog their memory and recall the days ahead of the Allahabad High Court judgment of September 2010. The PM thanked the people for their observance of restraints and calm. The Prime Minister's remarks have special significance as the Supreme Court verdict on Ram Janam Bhoomi Babri Masjid dispute of Ayodhya is expected in next month. The five-Judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi reserved the judgment on 16th of this month after a marathon 40-day hearing of the case.
 
Narendra Modi in his speech paid tribute to Sardar Patet as his statue is completing one year. “His role in ensuring Lakshadweep remains an integral part of India. His innovative method of ensuring shoes don’t get stolen from a Congress session at the same time helping farmers as well as boosting Khadi,” Said the PM about Sardar Patel. 
 
"In the classroom and sports, in spheres of art, music and culture, In business and science, India’s Nari Shakti is excelling in all fields," Said Narendra Modi on the celebration of Bharat Ki Lakshmi. 
 
The PM also appealed people to participate in large numbers in the Run for Unity campaign to be held on October 31.
