Giving high priority to education, 99% students in Jammu and Kashmir appear for Higher Secondary exams

Srinagar, October 30: As the state of Jammu and Kashmir gets back on track, people of the state have also resumed back to normalcy. With schools and colleges resuming, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education conducted the examination for Higher Secondary section. On a positive note, almost 99.5% students appeared for the examination.

 

According to a statement issued by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) that the Annual Regular Examination of Higher Secondary (Class 12th) commenced on Wednesday. The spokesman said that around 48,000 students of Kashmir division appeared in the examination. As many as 433 centres besides a special centre for specially-abled students had been set up at BOSE Campus Bemina, Srinagar.

The statement further reads that around 99.5% students appeared in the examination for which fool-proof arrangements were made. Flying squads were constituted for monitoring the examination. Adequate security measures in and around the examination centres were also taken by the administration.

The J&K Board of School Education said attendance was 100% across the 615 centres. The school education department has deployed flying squads and deputed officials of the rank of magistrates to oversee the preparations and ensure a conducive environment for students to write their examination.
