Starting from today, Jharkhand will be giving free gas connection, stove and two cylinders in all Anganwadi centers

Ranchi, November 1: Starting from today, all Anganwadi centers in Jharkhand will be given LPG gas connection and stove for free. This process of providing free gas connections will last till March 2020. These connections will be made available in all 38,432 Anganwadi centers in the state. Chief Minister Raghubar Das gave these instructions in the review meeting of Women, Child Development and Social Security Department held at the Chief Minister's residence. The scheme will be completed in a phased manner by March 2020.


 

LPG cylinder, gas stove, pipe, the regulator will be given

During the meeting, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the government has taken this decision to save the servant-sahayika and the child growing there from the smoke. With its implementation, the children of Anganwadi centers will be able to get hot food in a clean environment. At the same time, the sisters and assistants will get freedom from the suffocation of smoke. Under this scheme, two LPG cylinders, gas stove, pipes and regulators will be provided for strengthening Anganwadi centers. The expenditure on providing gas connections at every Anganwadi center will come to about Rs 6300. This entire scheme will cost Rs 24 crore.

Additional Chief KK Khandelwal of Finance Department, Dr. Sunil Kumar Varnwal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department were present in the meeting.
