Tunis, November 1: Honoring PM Modi’s appeal for boycotting single use plastic on the occasion of 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the nation has now resolved to do away with plastic in day to day life. This campaign has not only remained nationwide but has crossed the borders to become a global campaign. Yesterday, the Indian Embassy to Tunisia began to use Reusable steel flasks in the office at Tunis.

"Doing away with single use plastic bottles for 'Swaccha Bharat' as a part of PM’s initiative for 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Reusable steel flasks for everyone in the Embassy," tweeted Indian Ambassador to Tunisia Puneet Roy Kundal.

Boycotting single-use plastic should not remain only a topic of discussions and slogans but it needs deliberate action at all levels. Gandhiji didn’t try to change the world through words but through his own actions. Indian embassy to Tunisia has set a good example of ‘Think Globally, Act Locally’ through a worth-emulating action.
