Mumbai, November 11: Rising against the political instability in the state of Maharahstra, the Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshiyari on Sunday asked Shiv Sena to indicate the willingness and ability to form the government, giving it time by Monday 7.30 pm, to stake claim. Agreeing this at first, Shiv Sena on Monday has blatantly moved up calling this too, a web of conspiracy weaved around by the BJP.

According to the Sena leader Sanjay Raut, the BJP is up to undertake the President's rule and that the Governor is the one backing it! How dare he allege the authority for 'mere' power in the state, that actually has not remained a 'mere' problem! "It is BJP's arrogance that they are refusing to form govt in Maharashtra. It is an insult to the people of Maharashtra. They are willing to sit in opposition, but they are reluctant to follow the 50-50 formula, for which they agreed before polls", Raut said accusing the party of instability.

"It would have been easy if Governor had given us more time. BJP was given 72 hrs; We've been given lesser time. It's a strategy of BJP to impose President's rule in state", he added sounding impolite. The Governor of Maharashtra is the executive head of the state and the Constitution of India confers the executive powers of the state to the Governor who exercises all powers on the aid and advice of the Council of Ministers.
Meanwhile, Congress's Sanjay Nirupam on Monday claimed that the political instability in the state cannot be ruled out. "No matter who forms govt and how ? But the political instability in Maharashtra can not be ruled out now. Get ready for early elections. It may take place in 2020. Can we go to the elections with ShivSena as partner?", he tweeted.
Nirupam had on Saturday warned Congress-NCP of a tie-up with Shiv Sena terming it as a disastrous move. This is after the BJP expressed inability to form government in Maharashtra and NCP laid down a set of conditions for the party to extend its support for a Shiv Sena led government in the state.

The Sena, which is the second-largest party in the 288 member House with 56 MLAs after the BJP, has time by evening today to stake claim, form government. While the Sena has been making efforts to reach out to the NCP and the Congress, the Sharad Pawar-led party on Sunday said the Sena will have to walk out of the NDA first.
