Saint Lucia, November 11: Indian women's team won second T20 match against West Indies with teenager Shafali Verma scoring her second consecutive half-century. India registered an emphatic 10-wicket win over the West Indies in the second T-20 International at Saint Lucia.

 
15-year-old Shafali continued her impressive run by scoring a quick-fire 69 off 35 balls alongside Smriti Mandhana, who scored 30. The duo powered India to a 2-0 lead in the five-match series last night. The Haryana teenager smashed 10 fours and two sixes.
In the first match on Saturday, Shafali surpassed the iconic Sachin Tendulkar to become the youngest Indian cricketer to score a half-century in international cricket. Tendulkar had notched up his maiden Test fifty at 16 years and 214 days.
 
Shafali shared a record opening stand of 143 with Smriti Mandhana to help India win the match by 84 runs. Shafali scored 73 runs in the first T-20 International and achieved the feat at 15 years and 285 days.
