Guru Nanak awakened India to our spiritual and cultural essence: Sarkaryavah greets nation on Prakash Parv

New Delhi, November 12: “It’s a joyous moment that not only Sikhs, but the entire nation is celebrating 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev. Such divine personalities keep inspire us forever,” said RSS Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi today on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. 

 

“Guru Nanak was born at such point of time when India was under the dark of foreign invasions. Guru Nanak tried to awaken Indians to our own spirituality and culture. He not only travelled across the country but in many places in the world, even up to Makkah. He would talk with many spiritual leaders from different religions and sects in different places,” Bhaiyyaji added. 

 

The Sarkaryavah further said that Guru Nanak taught people to think in a rational way instead of following superstitions. "He successfully created a network of followers who were ready to sacrifice for people. His thoughts and doctrines are equally valuable even today. If the people of India follow his path today, our nation will be able to revive its spiritual glory once again. Such divine personalities keep inspire us forever," he added.
