RSS Sarsanghchalak participates in Guru Nanak Prakash Parv program

Nagpur, Nov 13: RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanrao Bhagwat on Tuesday participated in Sri Guru Nanak Prakash Parv celebrations at Mankapur Sports Complex, in Nagpur.

The 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji is being celebrated all over the world. This year being the 550th anniversary year, it has acquired special importance.

The celebrations began with the Deepawali festival. The main program was held on November 11 and 12 at Mankapur Sports Complex under the auspices of Sri Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Samiti.

The entire Mankapur Sports Complex was decorated with saffron flags. The huge image of Sri Guru Nanak Devji was placed on the dais and a copy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikh Sect was also placed wrapped around the floral display. Special jatthas of 'Ragis' had come from various places who continued chanting of 'Gurubani' non-stop adding a religious fervor to the occasion in presence of thousands of Sikh devotees.

Accompanied by Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Loya, Sahkaryawah Ravindra Bokare and former Maharashtra Energy Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanrao Bhagwat participated at the function for some time. He had 'darshan' of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and paid obeisance to Guru Nanak Devji.

Bhagwat was received by Jasmit Singh BHatiya, President of Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Samiti, Mohabbat Singh Tuli, President of Punjab Association, Dinesh Chhabra, Secretary, Gurupal Singh Makan of Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Kulvinder Sabharwal, Mohinderpal Singh Lamba, Hardip Singh Bhatia, Tejindersingh Renu, Gurudip Singh Arora, Kishor Tuteja of Sidhi Association and many others.
