New Delhi, November 2: Swaroop Singh Kuntal, Lieutenant Colonel of the Indian Army and posted in Jhansi, has made the name of the country proud by making a new record in Malaysia. He completed the 17-hour goal of three competitions in 12 hours 14 minutes. His physical ability and indomitable courage were praised.

Lieutenant Colonel Swaroop Singh Kuntal participated in the competition held at Langkawi Island, Malaysia. Here he completed 3.8 km of swimming one hour 29 minutes, 180 kilometers of cycling six hours 13 minutes and 42.0 kilometers of running in four hours and 12 minutes.

He completed the target in 12 hours 14 minutes instead of 17 hours. He finished first in this competition. The 38 ° C temperature and a fluctuating path of about 3000 meters in Malaysia made the target more inaccessible. The competition began in 1978 on the island of Hawaii.

Earlier, Kuntal had illuminated the name of Jhansi by covering a distance of 108.4 km in 12 hours in Bangalore. The 12-hour stadium run in Chandigarh was won by covering 118.7 kilometers. He completed the 42.2 km marathon in three hours 23 minutes 53 seconds at Asia's largest Tata Mumbai Marathon. The 63 km ultra marathon in Kota was completed in five hours and 39 minutes and finished first.

Prior to this, he won the title of Ironman in Jaipur International by finishing 3800 meters in 12 hours 23 minutes, cycling 182 kilometers and running 42 kilometers. He is originally from Mathura. It is a follower of Pritam Singh Pramukh, chairman of Maharaja Group Mathura.
