Setting ground for India-Japan two plus two dialogue, PM Modi greets Japan's PM Shinzo Abe

Bangkok, November 04: Having a deep discourse focussed on preparing the ground for India-Japan two plus two Dialogue and Annual Summit later this year, PM Modi met his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit at Bangkok today.

 
While the, PM Modi is set to participate in the East Asia Summit and RCEP Summit, the duo had a hefty conversation over developing the already extant robust bilateral knots.
 
Further in the day, the Prime Minister is also slated to meet his Vietnamese and Australian countreparts, Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Scott Morrison exchanging the views on regional and international issues.
The agenda on the East Asia summit today would be to review the future direction of East Asia cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues. The member countries participating in the summit account for 54 per cent of the world's population and 58 per cent of the global GDP.
 
Earlier today on the sidelines of the ASEAN-India summit, the Prime Minister held talks with Myanmar State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, and Thai Prime Minister Gen (retd.) Prayut Chan-o-Cha.
