Syncing sci-tech, innovation; empowering nation, PM Modi states India’s science to have inspired millions

New Delhi, November 5: Instilling scientific temper among the masses, India’s contribution in the field of Science and Technology over the years have been commendable as it has benefitted people at many levels. Inaugurating the Fifth India International Science Festival in Kolkata, Prime Minister Modi praised the theme - RISEN: Research, Innovation and Science Empowering the Nation which is in sync with India of the 21st century and is in line with the vision for future.

 

Addressing the 5th Indian International Science Festival, PM Modi said, “The India International Science Festival's 5th edition is happening at a place which has given birth to many stalwarts of science who have made many innovations which are helpful to the human race.” Praising the ISRO scientists for their exemplary work, PM Modi asserted their hard work as an inspiration with Chandrayaan 2 reaching at a success.

Speaking further, he said, “There is no country in the world that has made progress without science and technology. India has produced many great scientists, our history makes us proud and our present is also largely influenced by science,” Adding he said, “Our responsibility towards the future increases manifold. The responsibility is to take science and technology along with human values. The government is providing institutional support for both invention & innovation. The ecosystem for science and technology is being strengthened".

 

PM Modi speaking to the people urged all to think about Long Term Benefit, Long Term Solutions. And in the midst of all these efforts, people will also have to always take care of international rules, its parameters. He elaborated saying that science is not possible without two things and these two things are problem and continuous use. Encouraging everyone, PM Modi said there are no failures in science, only there are Efforts, Experiments, and Success.
