Naval Personnel make Navy proud! Make way to represent India at Int’l Ironman 70.3 world championship

Panaji, November 5: Five naval personnel participated in the first-ever international Ironman 70.3 championship held at Goa last month. The event consisted of 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running to be completed within 08 hrs 30 minutes. Lt Cdr Kartik Uppal and Lt Cdr Deepak Ahlawat have done the Navy proud by completing the event in 06 hrs 08 minutes and 06 hrs 09 minutes respectively and getting selected to represent India in Ironman 70.3 world championship to be held in New Zealand in November 2020.


 

Three officers, Capt Abhijit Savant, Cdr Ashok Daima and Lt Cdr Avinas Chandran also competed the event in 06 hrs 28 minutes, 07 hrs 05 minutes and 07 hrs 34 minutes respectively.
