Issuing advisory to channels and TV operators, MIB states ‘refrain showing any controversial promo on Ayodhya verdict’

New Delhi, November 9: Drawing curtains after 70 years of rigorous struggle on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue, the Supreme Court has given the entire disputed land to the Hindu parties with a trust to be formed by the Centre within three months to monitor the construction of a Ram Temple. The entire nation celebrated welcoming the decision rightly implying that India coexist peacefully.

 

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in an advisory issued stated to all news channels and cable TV operators to strictly adhere to the Programme Code during discussion, debates and reporting. Apart from this, the Ministry has also asked the channels to refrain from promoting controversial things about any kind of religious or religion or any community. Along with it, the channels have also been asked to avoid showing any half-baked truths.

Delivering its verdict in the politically-sensitive case of Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute in Ayodhya, the apex court directed allotment of alternative land to Muslims to build a new mosque. The apex court said the extensive nature of Hindus worshipping at outer courtyard at the disputed site has been there, and the evidence suggests the Muslims offered Friday prayers at mosque which indicates that they had not lost possession of the site.

Waking ahead in the justice to 'Ram Lalla' and thousands of karsevaks who led their lives for the Ram Janmbhoomi land, the Supreme Court of India, in its landmark, historic decision affirmed to give the possession of the disputed land to Hindus. "While the Centre is to formulate a scheme within 3 months, Muslims must be given alternate land", the verdict read.
