Emphasizing over need to make people aware of CAA, BJP in MP to launch campaign from Jan 1 to 15

Bhopal, December 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party is slated to launch a campaign from January 1 to 15 to clear the confusion being spread by the opposition about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Madhya Pradesh. According to the official release of the BJP, the party will conduct a public awareness campaign from January 1. "Through this door to door campaign, 5 lakh families of Madhya Pradesh will be approached", the release read.

The BJP has also called a meeting in this regard tomorrow. All MPs, MLAs and office bearers of the state will also be participated in the Jan Jagran Abhiyan. Apart from this, the party will send thanks letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through all sections like Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Christian and Parsi who benefited by the act.
 
At the same time, the Congress is taking out the Samvidhan Bachao Nyay Shanti Yatra in protest against this law across the state today. The Citizenship Amendment Act in India slated to provide citizenship to the persecuted Indians from the neighboring Muslim majority countries of Pakistan Afganistan and Bangladesh.
 
Large parts of the country, especially West Bengal and the North-east, have erupted in protest against the CAA. CAA's critics say the legislation is discriminatory in nature and goes against the tenets of the Constitution. Students have been at the forefront of the protests.
