This year’s last Mann ki Baat focuses on Youth, Space Science, Swadeshi local products

New Delhi, December 30: Tuning into 2019’s last ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on several points like youth, anarchy, nepotism, ISRO, Solar Eclipse, tourism etc. He also spoke on creating a demand for local products which can lead to the path shown by Gandhi Ji towards self-reliance.

Speaking on the youth, PM Modi said that the youth of India doesn't like anarchy, instability and nepotism on his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat.

"The youth in India likes to follow the system they question the system when it does not work and don't like anarchy as they question the loopholes in the system What today's youth dislikes is instability, chaos, nepotism," said PM Modi.

He further said that the new generation was an embodiment of a new system and new order which will elevate the country to greater heights.

"Our new generation is an embodiment, a reflection of a new system, a new order, a new age, a new thought. These are the very people who have to elevate the country to greater heights", the Prime Minister told listeners during Mann Ki Baat's address.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that ISRO is planning to launch a satellite called Aditya to study the sun. In his 'Mann ki Baat' program of AIR, PM Modi said, India is quite advanced in the field of astronomy and ISRO has taken path-breaking initiatives in this field.

The Prime Minister said that India has many powerful telescopes around the country including a giant meter-wave telescope near Pune and other powerful telescopes located in Kodaikkaanal, Udagamandala, Guru Shikhar and Hanle Ladakh.

PM Modi said the citizens should strive to understand India's ancient knowledge in astronomy and modern achievements in this field. He said that the young scientists in the country not only displaying a great desire to know the scientific history but also are resolute in fashioning astronomy's future.

The Prime Minister also urged the listeners to develop star gazing as a hobby in order to boost the activities like rural camps and picnics. PM Modi also pressed on the need to form astronomy clubs on school and college levels.

Speaking during the 60th edition of the monthly radio broadcast, he said, "I extend my heartiest greetings to all countrymen on the arrival of the year 2020. One thing certain about the decade to come is, it will witness active contribution of those who were born in 21st century, in country's progress; these are people who are growing up, understanding the significant issues pertaining to this century."

He also outlined the talent of the younger generation and said, "All of us experience that this generation is extremely talented. It thrives on the dream to do something new, something different".
