A exuberant step, the Telangana police did a commendable job by ending this entire incident with a message and a lesson for all to remember and shutting diverging views of so called 'liberals'. Rape and murder are a grave sin and no one can get away with it. But some ‘secular’ journalists and Urban Naxals are still busy conspiring against this act taken by the police. While on one end they cried their lungs out banging their newsroom desk, emitting fake emotions on brutality on the girl, these liberals on the other hand will now conspire on topics pointing out case against the Hyderabad police for ‘fake encounter.’
Hypocrisy at its best, moving on they will select secular reporters to visit and cover the plight of the rapist’s family. These newsrooms will have a detailed study on how the culprit belonged to a poor family, with minimal food stock or bank balance and now how the family will suffer because of the encounter. Adding some spice to gain TRP, they will also create their own story on the family and use their best efforts to attack the government, because at the end of the day for all these hypocrites, it’s the government sitting at the Centre using no action.
Rape and murder are one of the most disgusting and grave sin done by someone and the accused SHOULD NOT GET AWAY WITH IT just because they belong to a ‘poor family’. It is very depressing to know that there is no ounce of remorse felt for the woman who has suffered or gone through this painful situation. All we do is blame the government or blame the system for their inaction in such situation and then what? We keep it aside like a closed chapter and then use it like an ointment for someone else. After the dreadful Nirbhaya incident, that shook the base of humanity, there have been many similar incidents, why did not these ‘secular’ journalists and urban naxals speak then? Depressingly, all they can do is blame the government and system.
The real question that still triggers is that the Telangana police has done a commendable job by encountering the culprits, they deserve it, but we as a society, where are we heading towards? A crime is a crime, and you can’t get away with a crime so easily. The police and the working system have done their job, and like we as citizens have human rights, the police also have the same rights as we enjoy. It has been noted that in a landmark order passed by the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission in June 2009, it has been clearly established that the Police (and in that way all the paramilitary men, army men and others who are often viewed as violators of Human Rights) also have Human Rights and concerned Commissioners (or Senior Officials of the force deployed) are responsible for their protection.
While we hold candle march and placards blaming the system, they have done their job, when will we as India move ahead educating our boys and teach them to respect women, because as they say… Charity begins at home..!!
