Enlightening perspective to Mahashivratri: Sadhguru and followers to stay awake the whole night like our Jawans do

Mumbai, March 4: Giving an enlightened perspective to Mahashivratri, Isha foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev connected with people with a message that ‘Staying awake and alert the whole night may be a new concept for you. But not for our brave jawans! This Mahashivratri night let us stay awake and meditate for eliminating the enemy within.’

2019 is the 25th year of Mahashivratri at Isha Ashram at the foot of Yelagiri Hills, Coimbatore and the day-long event on March 4 and 5 will be telecast by over 100 broadcasters for devotees across the world. Last year over 50 million watched it around the world, making it one of the world’s biggest cultural, music and spiritual festivals; but the spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has given enlightening perspective to Mahashivratri by giving a message that ‘Staying awake and alert the whole night may be a new concept for you. But not for our brave jawans! This #Mahashivratri night let us stay awake and meditate for eliminating the enemy within.’

Yes it is because one single night if we stay awake we might feel fatigue but our jawans don’t feel so they 24*7 stay on alert mode for protection of their nation which not only their but of ours as well. Over 32 cameras and drones capture the visually compelling feed and distribute around the world through digital and TV Simultaneous translation happens in 14 languages including Hindi, English and Tamil. (11 Indian and 3 global languages). Besides Azerbaijan drummers, artists Amit Trivedi, Hariharan and Karthik will also performer this year. In addition to Sounds of Isha - Isha’s in house musicians will also regale the audience with their music.

Sadhguru will lead a midnight meditation and there are other guided meditation sessions happening through the night. 117 volunteers will offer a breathtakingly beautiful fire dance to Adiyogi Annadanam is offered to every devotee who comes to Isha Yoga Center.
