Karnataka facing problems due to 'Mazboor' Sarkar: PM Modi

Kalaburagi, March 6: Dubbing Congress- JD(S) coalition as a 'Mazboor' government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that people Karnataka are paying a heavy price because of indecisive state government. Addressing the gathering of BJP workers in Kalaburagi, Modi said that despite central assistance, the Congress supported Kumaraswamy government failed miserably in addressing the problems faced by the common citizens.

Referring to Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana launched by the center, PM Modi slammed the state government for not providing the details of beneficiaries. He informed that the MSP has been increased for sugarcane farmers and additional financial assistance of Rs 14 on per quintal will be credited directly to their accounts.

Underlining the importance of good governance, Modi said that the central government has resolved the long-pending problem of leakages which saved one lakh 10 thousand crore rupees of the public money. “Govt would take stern action against those who are taking government benefits using false documents ” Modi assured.

“Remote controlled CM of Karnataka has not sent the list of eligible farmers to the Centre. They are depriving the farmers of their right,” said PM Modi. Terming Congress- JD(S) alliance as ‘anti-farmer’, the Prime Minister stated that poor farmers will not spare those who are sitting in Bengaluru and stalling development agenda just for the sake of pity politics.



Taking a dig at Congress- JD(S) infighting Modi asked people not to vote for 'Mazboor' government after witnessing the poor state of governance in the state. Launching a frontal attack on Congress party, Modi said that in the name of loan waiver, every time, Congress has mocked farmers and garnered votes. He went on saying that the grand old party is more interested in family welfare than the farmer.

Earlier, during his one-day state visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several development projects where he dedicated the ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Bengaluru and also inaugurated the Super Specialty Block of KIMS, Hubballi in order to provide better healthcare facilities for the people of Karnataka. During this programme, Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat.

PM Modi also laid a foundation stone for the resitement of Bharat Petroleum Depot in Kalaburagi and also dedicated women’s hostel for students from the Northeast at Bangalore University. Expressing happiness over newly built girls hostel, Modi mentioned that the new establishment will cater to the needs of several students from the North-Eastern states who are studying in the state capital. On this occasion, Karnataka governor Vajubhai Vala, Union Minister Sadananda Gowda, and other officials were present.
