Doing it the tech savvy way; J&K pulls up socks to combat corruption using social media platforms

Srinagar, May 11: Taking strong actions to curb corruption, the state of Jammu and Kashmir has come forward with certain directives. Collaborating with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the state has stepped up to tackle all difficulties coming ahead through social platforms.

In order to combat corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has introduced a tech-savvy initiative. Welcoming the citizens, the initiative extends support to lodge complaints & suggestions to improve vigilance in J&K. The initiative is started with using popular social network platforms and instant messaging services including twitter handle @JKACB and Facebook page J&K Anti Corruption Bureau.

While launching the accounts of Anti-Corruption Bureau in Srinagar, Anand Jain, Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, said that free flow of information from social media will not only help in getting information about corruption but it will also help to maintain efficiency in functioning of Anti-Corruption Bureau.

ACB is also in the process of revamping its own website to make it more people friendly where complainants can lodge complaints in user friendly interface, he added.

Jain said also Toll-Free number and WhatsApp number will be made available for free accessibility of general public shortly.
