Red alerts for development..? Maoists turn flagrant cornering authorities after the Gadchiroli blast

Mumbai, May 2: After a cowardice Naxal attack in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, the Maoists have flagrantly claimed the responsibility of the attack, displaying red banners 10 kms away from the blast location today. The IED blast made ‘Maharashtra divas’ colourless, when 15 policemen and a civilian breathed last.

 
“Do not build a bridge and roads in Gadchiroli in the name of development. This is not a mode of development for the poor, but it is for the huge businessmen”, the pessimist banner led in open read threatening the authority of development. Uttar Gadchiroli Divisional Committee has however moved banning such boards in many villages.
 
This is specifically when the Union Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir is scheduled to visit the site of the said attack. Meanwhile the DGP, IG, SP Gadchiroli and the anti-naxal operation officers reached the site for inspection.

 
The Naxalites had started 36 vehicles of the contractor on the National Highway on Tuesday midnight. They were targeted when the Naxalites were going on a team of trucks from Tata S, a cargo vessel from Kurkheda after the naxalite fire.
 
15 personnel of the QRT (Quick Response Team) however lost their lives in a dastardly blast, of which six belonged to Gadchiroli, three to Bhandara, one from Buldhana and one each was from Hingoli, Beed, Nagpur and Yavatmal.
