BJD’s unbroken spell in Odisha: Lead on both Assembly and Lok Sabha seats

Bhubaneshwar, May 23: Odisha is one of the most important battlefields for BJP and Congress both. Making all exit polls false again, the first half of the day indicates, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is all set to be ruler again in Odisha.

The BJD is now leading in 113 out of 146 assembly seats with a nearly 45% of vote share. The BJP is leading in 21 seats and the Congress has been reduced with leads in only 10 seats.

When we see a bigger picture of the Lok Sabha election, the BJP is leading in only 7 out of 21 seats, when BJD recorded lead of 14 seats.

Baijayant Panda contesting from Kendrapara in Odisha is currently trailing with a margin of 27,000+ votes. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra is leading with narrow margin 2,000 votes in Puri. BJP has a lead in Bargarh, Kalahandi, Sundergarh, Bolangir, and Sambalpur of west Odisha and Puri and Bhubaneshwar in Odisha.
