Wayanad, May 23: Kerala is known for entirely different voting patterns than the country. Making this more realistic, The famous Wayanad rejects the traditional party and got ready to accept Congress president Rahul Gandhi as a leader. Rahul Gandhi has taken the significant lead at Wayanad Lok Sabha seat.

Wayanad was chosen by Rahul Gandhi as a 2nd parliamentary constituency with Amethi in UP. Now, Rahul Gandhi is in the lead in Wayanad with 81681 votes, which is the highest ever margin in the state, Rahul Gandhi was leading over Communist Party of India candidate PP Suneer.

The small and scenic Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala, Wayanad becomes a national sensation when Rahul Gandhi decided to contest election from here. The high range constituency Wayanad registered a record polling of 81.31% with a voting percentage of 73.25% in the 2014 elections.

Wayanad constituency had the maximum number of 20 candidates in Kerala. Wayanad parliamentary constituency came into existence after the fourth delimitation in 2008. This Lok Sabha seat consists of seven assembly segments from three districts of the state - Wayanad, Kozhikode, and Malappuram.

It is no wonder then that the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala is enraged over Gandhi contesting from Wayanad and see it as a challenge to them than to any other party in the state or Centre.
