Munich, May 28: India’s Saurabh Chaudhari has won in 10m Air Pistol, beating his own world record and earning India one more gold medal in ISSF Shooting World Cup held in Munich, Germany.

The seventeen-year old Saurabh scored 246.3 and beat his own world record of 245 points that was set in New Delhi World Cup Shooting in February this year. Chaudhary has already secured a birth for Tokyo Olympics. This is India’s second Gold in championship after Apurvi Chandela won a gold in Women’s 10 Metres Air Rifle event on Sunday. Former Indian olympic medalist Rajyavardhan Rathore congratulated Saurabh for his remarkable victory.

India already has five quota places in Rifle and Pistol competitions. Apurvi, Arjun, Saurabh Chaudhari, Abhishek Varma and Divyansh Singh Pawar have secured quotas for the country so far. India’s other quota is in the men’s 10m air rifle and thus the shooters would be eligible for only one quota.
