New Delhi, May 31: Now every Indian is eagerly waiting for Monsoon, the Pre-Monsoon days are likely to be tough as the prevalent heat wave is forecasted to become severe in the coming days. A recent release by Ministry of Earth Science has informed that in the northwest India region maximum temperatures will increase by about 2 Degree Celsius.
For the last four-five days, rise in maximum temperatures by about 2-4 Degree Celsius were experienced over parts of Northwest India including Delhi NCR. Heat wave conditions also developed over parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. On May 29, the highest maximum temperature of 47.6 Degree was recorded at Prayagraj.
Analysis of high resolution global and regional Numerical model products, satellite information and prevailing weather observations are indicating mainly clear sky over plains of Northwest India and advection of heat from west subsistence over region will lead to further rise in temperature. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at many places with severe heat wave at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Haryana, Panjab and Chandigarh.
