A fan moment for the real hero! Wing Commander Abhinandan to resume his duties soon

New Delhi, May 4: Defeating all odds, he emerged like a roaring lion ready to fight again. The love and affection poured on this Wing Commander was boundless as entire nation prayed for his quick comeback. Son to mother India, brother to his squad; this bond of friendship looks limitless as Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman resumes back to his duties.

The security squads high josh for Wing Commander Abhinandan turned into a fan moment when all his friends clicked selfies with the fighter. Sharing a video, Indian Special Force veteran Major Surendra Poonia gave a glimpse of how friendship among the security forces. Wing Commander Abhinandan was discharged from the hospital after being declared fit to resume the duties.

Overwhelmed by the sweet gesture of the officers, Abhinandan said that these photos he clicked were specially for their family members. He further added that he is obliged by the love and care given by the people and the family members and feels sorry that he couldn’t meet them personally to thank them. The prayers and wishes have reaped into fruitful results and that is the reason that he is joining the Indian Air Force again.

The bond among the security officers is stronger and deeper as they all are connected to one thread, the Nation. The love and affection they share cannot be compared to anything or anyone else in the world. Living for the nation, these officers live like a close knitted family which cannot be broken.

Praised by the entire nation after being captured by Pakistan, Varthaman showed courage and grace in the most difficult circumstances. Wg Cdr Abhinandan has the unique distinction of being the only pilot in the world to have shot down an F-16 combat aircraft from his vintage MiG-21 Bison aircraft on February 27 during aerial conflict with Pakistan. Weeks before, he had underwent medical tests at a Delhi-based facility for becoming eligible to fly the MiG-21s again.
