Moment of pride for India! Indian Army’s Goodwill school in J&K score 100 percent in CBSE Class X board exams

Srinagar, May 8: Swaying people for a change, education has been the ultimate key to success for life. With notable results slated by the CBSE students, the nation is celebrating two events simultaneously – Lok Sabha elections and flying colours of success with impressive result.

Creating a mark at every given moment, this comes as a matter of great pride for Indian Army. The students from its Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated Goodwill schools run in the state of Jammu and Kashmir have registered a 100 per cent pass result in the Class X board examinations.

There are almost 43 Goodwill schools in Jammu and Kashmir that are run by the Northern Command of the Indian Army. Three of these Goodwill schools are affiliated with CBSE. Among the students from these schools, Hittam Ayoub from Rajouri district has topped with 94.2 per cent.

Starting the initiative, the Northern Command of the Indian Army started running Goodwill schools in far areas in the year 1998. The Indian Army started off with just four schools under Project Sadbhavana. The Indian Army today provides education to nearly 15,000 students in the state while employing around 1,000 teaching and non-teaching staff.

These Goodwill schools are equipped with modern teaching aids, such as digital classrooms, modern labs, well-stocked libraries and excellent sports infrastructure aimed at positively contributing to the growth of Jammu and Kashmir and its residents.
