#WorldChampionships: Indian compound women's team win bronze in Archery

New Delhi, Jun 15: The Indian women's archery compound team won bronze after defeating Turkey in the Bronze Medal Final at the Archery World Championships in the Netherlands on Saturday.
 
 
 
Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Muskan Kirar and Raj Kaur combined to beat the Turkish team of Yesim Bostan, Gizem Elmaagacli, and Ipek Tomruk by a score of 229-226.
 
his win came as India's second medal at this year's World Championships. Previously on Thursday, the men's recurve team of Atanu Das, Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav had made Gold Medal.
 
The Indian women's compound team is currently ranked third in the world, four spots above Turkey. This is the second time that India have medalled in this event at the Worlds. They had won silver in the last edition in Mexico City after losing to Colombia in the final.
